Society membership
Any association or organisation whether uncorporated or corporate respectively with 30 or more members, is eligible as a Society Member of the Hellenic Centre if its aims and objects are not considered to be incompatible with the objects of the HC.
Benefits for Member Societies 2026
The Society Membership fee is £300 per year and entitles the Society to the following:
- Free use of one of the following spaces to encourage Societies to programme their own activities:
Great Hall (not incl. AV) on a Monday evening, access 18:30-22:30
Friends Room (to incl. basic AV) Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evening, access 18:30-22:30 (subject to availability, excl. Bank Holidays)
1a) Activities should be cultural (i.e. lectures or other presentations) and can be ticketed.
1b) Events with music will be considered, but must be discussed in advance.
1c) Only one free booking is permitted per calendar year and cannot be carried forward to another year.
1d) If the event is cancelled less than two months prior to the event date, the free booking allowance for that year will be lost.
- Free use of the Boardroom to host committee meetings or AGMs.
One free evening per year, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, access from 18:30-22:30.
2a) This must be arranged during Greek language course term periods, and not during times when the HC is closed, such as Bank holidays and August.
2b) Room bookings on any other days will be subject to a hire fee.

- Invitation to the HC AGM for up to 3 representatives of the Member Society (Only one vote per Member Society and person voting must be a member of the HC)
- Use of the HC address for Society correspondence and allocation of pigeon hole for mail received. All mail must be collected from the HC office during general opening hours. Mail cannot be forwarded.

Anatolia College
Anatolia College is a private, non-profit educational institution. Since its founding in 1886 in Merzifon, Asia Minor, the name of Anatolia has been synonymous with quality education. Located in Thessaloniki, Greece since 1924, Anatolia College is a private, non-profit, international learning community.
Anglo-Hellenic League
Dedicated to promoting Anglo-Greek understanding and friendship, through charitable and cultural work.
Association of Constantinopolitan Greeks in the UK
Preserving and disseminating of both the historical and cultural heritage of the Greek Orthodox Community of Constantinople, Imvros and Tenedos, and the customs, traditions, arts and letters of the Constantinopolitan Greeks.
Cypriot Estia of London
A non-political, cultural and philanthropic association founded in 1976 with the principal aims of encouraging friendly and harmonious relations between the Greek Cypriot community and other nationalities in the UK.
Greek Archaeological Committee (UK)
Disseminating information on current archaeological work in Greece to British academics and the public at large, to build international recognition.
Hellenic Business Society
The Hellenic Business Society in Great Britain is a non-profit association founded in 2025 to connect and empower the Greek professional and business community in the UK. Its mission is to strengthen the Greek business network by providing meaningful connections, mentorship, resources, and advocacy.
Hellenic Engineers Society
The Hellenic Engineers Society of Great Britain supports and promotes professional and social contact amongst our members and in particular newly appointed engineering professionals within the Shipping industry.
Hellenic Foundation
The Hellenic Foundation, founded in 1982, is a grant making charity which supports the propagation and study in Great Britain of the culture and heritage of Greece.
Lykion ton Hellinidon London
The Lykion Ton Hellinidon London was founded in London in 1979, for the purpose of preserving and disseminating Greek culture. An important feature of the Lykion’s programme is the teaching of Greek folkloric dances.
Macedonian Society of Great Britain
The Macedonian Society of Great Britain is a registered Charity in England, founded in 1989, with the aim of promoting the Macedonian history, culture and heritage of Greece.
Oinoussai Benevolent Fund
The Oinoussian Benevolent Fund (Ταμείον Ευπραγίας Οινουσσών) was founded in 1942 by Oinoussians outside the then occupied Greece. Its aim was to assist those remaining on the island and their families who, due to the occupation, were in dire need.
Omilos Eksipiretiron (Servers’ Society)
Omilos Eksipiretiton (The Servers’ Society, est. 1980) is a School of Thought and Action in Greece. With decades of completely selfless service and great cultural work, the centre of the work of Omilos is the human being, the emergence and prominence of the human spirit.
Hellenic Tech Network
The Hellenic Tech Network (#hellenictech) is a non-profit association which was created in 2021 to promote a closer cooperation among professionals in technology companies and start-up founders of Hellenic origin across the globe. The aim is to highlight topics of interest by organising panel discussions and creating digital content, while promoting Greece’s potential in attracting talented individuals within the global innovative ecosystem.
Society for Modern Greek Studies
The Society exists to promote teaching and research in Modern Greek Studies throughout the United Kingdom.
Society for the Promotion of Hellenic Studies
For almost a century and a half the Hellenic Society has been the leading organisation for the study of Greece with an international membership across all ages and walks of life. It maintains a world class library and publishes internationally acclaimed journals in the field.
The London Hellenic Prize
The London Hellenic Prize, awarded every year since its establishment in 1996, has over its 27-year history enriched strong cultural connections between England, Greece and Hellenism. The LHP is a prestigious award committed to promoting Classical, Byzantine and Modern Hellenic culture in the English-speaking world, while specifically encouraging Anglo-Hellenic cultural exchange.
The Hellenic Medical Society
The Hellenic Medical Society's identity rests in the rich fabric of Greek culture but is also dependent on the involvement and participation of members who constitute the heart and motivating force of their activities. Upholding Hellenic heritage and forging links with professionals in the UK is the foundation of their success.
Eteria Ellinon Epistimonon
The Eteria Ellinon Epistimonon (Hellenic Society of Professional People and Scientists in Great Britain ) was founded in 1965. The purposes of the society are to gather and unite Greek Scientists residing in the United Kingdom, to provide mutual support for Greek Scientists coming to the UK. c. To regularly inform members on scientific and professional matters, to cooperate with organisations, services, and affiliated societies in events aimed at promoting friendship with Hellenism and showcasing the ideals of Greek Christian culture and to organise social and intellectual events.
