Τι Θυμάσαι απ’ τον Θάνατό σου; – What do you Recall from your Death?

Τι Θυμάσαι απ’ τον Θάνατό σου; – What do you Recall from your Death? is a story about the relationship between two young men communicating in sign language; a story about the difficulties and the racism they faced. The event, which will be in Greek, will provide an opportunity of a conversation with the author.

The book, which has been nominated by Public Stores as one of the ten best books with a unique hero, is in the process of being translated into English. It is also going to be turned into an audiobook through a cooperation with the organisation «διαβάζω για τους άλλους» (I read for others).

“I was twenty-two when I died. This is my life since the moment I joined the army, that summer. From the moment I was assigned this peculiar mission. Edward, a Greek living in London joined my unit for two weeks. He was deaf. Amongst the soldiers, I was the only one who knew his language. I had therefore to be his interpreter. This is our story. A different story. A special relationship, but not one based on words.”
