Vakia: A Singer’s Journey

Described by the French press as ‘a highly sophisticated and enchanting artist that makes one hear the vast beauty of her voice’ (Bertrand Dicale, Radio France), internationally acclaimed singer and songwriter Vakia performs songs from her new album Vakia, accompanied by Socrates Leptos on classical guitar.

About Vakia Stavrou

Vakia Stavrou is an internationally acclaimed singer and songwriter, originally from Nicosia, Cyprus and based in Paris for the last decade.

Vakia has toured in many European capitals, invited to perform by prestigious music festivals. She has released five personal albums with her latest in February 2024 under the title Vakia (now available on all digital platforms).

Her repertoire ranges from French chansons to Latin American tunes as well as Greek favourites of an eclectic repertoire with references to her own songs, such as her biggest hit song Sozinha, written by herself in Portuguese.

This concert is part of her new album release tour with other European cities such as Paris, Athens and Brussels. Vakia will be accompanied on the classical guitar by Socrates Leptos, a virtuoso classical guitarist from Cyprus.
