Love, Laughter and Magic: A Greek Carnival Party for Children

Celebrate the Greek Carnival at the Hellenic Centre! Asterakia returns with an afternoon of games, singing and dancing, including the traditional gaitanaki, and more creative activities. A favourite annual event introducing families to carnival traditions from across the Hellenic world, guaranteed to be entertaining for all. 

Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult and adults can only attend if they accompany a child. Kindly let a member of staff know if you do not give permission for your child’s photographs and videos to be used by the Hellenic Centre in the website, social media and publications.

Eleni Georgiou

Eleni Georgiou studied music and singing in France and the UK, working for ten years as a Music Coordinator in London schools while performing as a professional opera singer across Europe. After becoming a parent, she founded Asterakia—an award-winning music, movement, and drama class in Greek. During lockdown she launched the bilingual YouTube channel Asterakia with Eleni. She is also a children’s party entertainer.
