Leveraging High Quality Innovative Research in Cyprus

Cyprus Seeds is a non-profit organisation that promotes the commercialisation of scientific research in Cyprus, through funding, mentoring, networking and coaching. The promoters and anchor donors of Cyprus Seeds are The Leventis Foundation and The Hellenic Initiative, a non-profit organisation in New York, whose members are Greeks and Cypriots of the Diaspora in the US. Eurobank Cyprus, EY Cyprus, Medochemie Pharmaceuticals, TOTAL S.A and Alphamega are some of the corporations in Cyprus also supporting the Initiative with donations.

The Managing Director of Cyprus seeds, Ms. Maria Georgiadou, will present the Program and will explain the tangible benefits for Cyprus. To name but a few:

(a) Create a pipeline of technology companies in Cyprus

(b) plant the seeds to stimulate a new, technology driven entrepreneurial culture in Cyprus

(c) improve the links between academia and the private sector.

Participants will have the chance to meet two of the seven Research Teams who are participating in the first cycle of the Cyprus Seeds program, during a networking event to follow the presentation.
