Christmas with Asterakia
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have to postpone this event from Sunday 28 November until Sunday 5 December. If you have tickets you should have received an e-mail about the new date. If you have not please email maria@helleniccentre.org or call 020 7863 9833 and leave a message.
Asteraki is very busy getting ready for Christmas! Is our house clean? Do we have a turkey? Are we going to get any snow? Let’s do it together! Can we sing the Christmas carols? After the performance you will be making festive creations with a qualified art teacher.
Parents are welcome to help children with the activities!
Event suitable for ages: 0 – 8 years old
Please note that this event will be mainly in Greek, but help will provided for those who find this difficult.
Eleni Georgiou studied music and singing in France and UK. For 10 years she worked as a Music Coordinator in schools in London. In addition to this she worked as a professional opera singer, while performing in London and other European cities. After the birth of her children she created Asterakia. Asterakia is an award-winning fun, music, movement, and drama class in Greek. Asterakia’s curriculum is based through the use of original songs as well as a new arrangement of traditional Greek nursery rhymes, classical pieces and folk songs. During the lockdown Eleni created a bilingual YouTube Channel (Asterakia with Eleni) in order to make children happy during this difficult time.
