Aoide’s Wandering Ouzeri: Tip The Waiter, Online Livestream
Greek and Turkish rural and urban folk music through the prism of the 21st century megalopolis. Laugh, cry, eat, dance.
In Greece, the Ouzeri is a place where friends can meet up, chat, tell their stories, over some mezes and a drink. The atmosphere is coloured by the sound of a small group of musicians wandering through the melodies and rhythms of Greece’s rich tapestry of songs. Aoide, our Muse of Song, will travel from home to home, venue to venue, sharing with you the story of Greece’s music with different musicians every month. The songs of Smyrna, Rebetiko, Crete, Thrace, Endehno and more…sometimes as a live stream, sometimes as a pre recorded performance, join us to keep the music going and meet up through the live chat!
