Ταξιδεύοντας με ένα αρχαίο καράβι: Εκθέματα από την Αίθουσα Α.Γ. Λεβέντη στο Βρετανικό Μουσείο
As part of the Collaboration Program in the field of education between the Greek Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs and the Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture, we decided to develop a joint educational and cultural program. A story where heroes are selected art objects from the A G Leventis Gallery at the British Museum, an interactive play, construction of to the world of ancient art objects with the group Ceramists Traces and educational leaflets full of exciting information will introduce our young friends to the world of ancient ceramics.
Aim of the action is to promote cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue between the two countries.
The cultural event is addressed to children of reception and primary school (5- 12 years old) and includes: a) Narration of a story, in which heroes are selected art objects from A.G. Leventis Gallery , b) Theatrical interactive play, c) Becoming little ceramists (Workshop: play and construction of ceramic art objects inspired by the A.G. Leventis Gallery with the Group ‘Ceramists Traces’), d) Educational leaflet with questions and plays and e) Fairytale tour in A.G. Leventis Gallery so that children meet the heroes of the story (will take place only on Sunday at the British Museum). The event is supported by the writer-educator Mrs. Mania Douka.
