Anastasios Leventis was born in Lemythos, Cyprus in 1902, grew up in Petra, his father’s village, and studied in Mitsis School. At 16 years old he left Cyprus to broaden his education and prospects abroad.
His business career developed in West Africa where he worked as an employer of a British Company which appointed him as the General Director for the Golden Coast (Toda’s Ghana) at 26 years of age.
