C.P. Cavafy:The Poetics of History and the Music of Poetry

A series of illustrated presentations in English, by Bettany Hughes, Anastasios Ioannis Metaxas, Nikos Tsouchlos, Stefanos Geroulanos and Peter Mackridge followed by a concert with the first musical settings of Cavafy’s poetry by Dimitris Mitropoulos, with Angelica Cathariou and Thodoris Tzovanakis.

The event will be complemented by an exhibition of coins, posters and paintings related to the work of the Alexandrian poet, to mark the English edition of the book C.P. Cvafy:Historia Arcana – A Hidden History by Stefanos Geroulanos.
